Everglades, Gators, Miami, Oh My!

Thanks Tim and Janet for being our personal tour guides. They showed us the sights and sounds of Shark Valley in the Everglades, the Atlantic Ocean, and Miami on the first day.

Sam's Tooth

Sam had to take things into his own hands and pull one of his front teeth.

The boys prefer for Poppa Smart to pull them out

because he plays the tooth fairy and gives them $$.

This tooth was driving Sam crazy and decided to try the door and string trick.

Clayton is 12

Clayton fulfilling his 12 year old Decon duties -

collecting fast offerings.

Austin was nice enough to wait for Clayton to be ordained

so he could show him the ropes of what they do on fast Sunday.

We had a few friends over, we tried to bike up to Elephant Rock, but didn't quite make it.

The ride down was fun though.

Clayton is a big 12 year old.

Rain Gutter Regatta

Mitchell took first place with his rain gutter regatta.

He even got a BLUE ribbon, but so did everyone.

First Day of School

We have put the blog on the back burner. Not that there are many of you keeping track of us.

Here are the kids on the first day of school.

We are on a traditional schedule this year!! So far, so good.

3 Years ago today we welcomed little

Abigail Lucille Holdstock

to our family.

She's a Daddy's girl.

She is well loved!

Happy July 4th

We celebrated the 4th in Grantsville running the Ray Barrus 5K.

Mitchell, Sam, and Veronica all ran the 1 mile.

Sam following the race showing his battle wound. He won first place for his age group. He said he probably could have run faster, but tripped at the starting line. He ran it in 8 minutes. Mitchell came in second for his age group at 7.55 minutes.

Clayton was the first to of us to cross the finish line at 22.07 minutes. He's fast!

Alyssa was next. She is the inspiration for the runs.

Grant came next.

We made it! Brian is a good sport to stay with me and cross the finish line together. I know he could run faster. It is good to have company. Our time was 29 minutes. We beat our last 5K time by almost 5 minutes.

Sabrina took 3rd place in her age group. Clayton took 2nd and Alyssa took 3rd in her age group, and Grant (not pictured) took 3rd too!

Lots has been happening. Since our last post before Easter.

*Finished 3 soccer seasons.

*Try outs for Clayton's new competition team Brian is coaching, lots of paperwork, marketing, & parties!

*Ran the 5K

*Did a stop motion movie with the boys

*Celebrated Mother's Day

*Helped take down and put up a new fence in Grandma and Grandpa Smart's yard

*Lots of helping at the school with end of school year parties, field days, and school carnival

*Welcomed home Elder Ammon Smart

*Planted a garden

*Weeded that garden

*Had Flat Stanley visit from Texas & Florida

*Sent the boys to Fathers and Sons

*Mitchell received his Wolf

*Welcomed home Elder Austin Facer

*Sam graduated kindergarten

*Mitchell finished second grade

*Clayton finished fifth

*Had family gatherings at our home

*Had a baby shower for Aubrey

*Went to the REAL game with David Archeletta singing National Anthem and Concert following

*Enjoying having everyone home for the summer

*Hoping that sickness will not be a part of the whole summer
