Happy, Happy, Happy!

August is full of celebrations for our family.

Happy Birthday Brian. Another year older and wiser.
Happy Birthday Grandma Smart.

The world's Greatest Mom and Dad.

Happy 12th Anniversary to Brian and Mary.
We were lucky enough to go to Snow Basin and ride the gondala up to the restaurant at the top. It was a beautiful view and great company.

The best is yet to come!

Real Salt Lake

Clayton's soccer team had a DCF night at a Real Salt Lake game.

They played Colorado Clippers. RSL won the game.

Good game and good times!
We went to autograph alley and got almost all the players to sign our soccer balls.

USS Midway

Flying for Freedom

We were able to tour the USS Midway in San Diego. This air craft carrier was huge. We had an auto tour and saw all the ins and outs. We had even a better appreciation for the service men and women who serve for our freedom.



My Dad served in the Navy and helped us have a real understanding of what life is like on the water. He even worked in the building right in front of the USS Midway museum on Broadway.

Sea World

If you've ever been to San Diego your visit is not complete with out a visit to Sea World.

This is the BEFORE shot of the Shamu Rocks Show. These crazy people were sitting front row and center. Clayton is not so sure he wants to get wet. It was funny to watch them taunting Shamu and the trainers to splash them.

Family Reunion

We made it! Flying with your cousins makes the trip even more fun.

While we were waiting at the baggage claim, Abby was playing with Alyssa and got away from her where she ran up the empty baggage claim ramp next to us. I turned around just as I heard Alyssa say,"No Abby come back". I was horrified. I went running up the ramp after her (in heels and a skirt) just as Brian noticed too. We had her cornered and Brian grabbed her. We both hopped off the baggage claim as the entire flights' eyes were on us. We couldn't help but laugh and wondered why we didn't have a video camera to capture the whole thing.
